Common questions about how Cipili works, what it does with your data, and where the numbers come from.
Frequently asked
- What does Cipili actually do?
- It walks you through the money decisions most people face, compares your realistic options, and shows what each one is likely to cost or save you. Every figure comes with the assumptions behind it.
- Is this financial advice?
- No. Cipili provides financial education, comparisons, and estimates based on what you tell it. It is not an investment, tax, legal, or accounting adviser, and not a fiduciary. For decisions with real stakes, talk to a licensed professional.
- Where do your numbers come from?
- Rates, school data, and benchmarks come from licensed providers and official sources, each recorded with its origin. If a number has no source we can cite, it does not ship.
- Do I have to connect my bank?
- No. Every module works from figures you enter yourself. Bank linking is optional and can be disconnected at any time.
- Do you sell my data?
- No. We also do not rank recommendations by what a partner pays us. Ranking is fit to your situation only.
- How do I delete my account?
- Open Settings and use the delete option. It removes your profile, financial records, saved recommendations, and any linked bank items.
- Who can use Cipili?
- Version 1 supports U.S. users aged 18 and over.
